About Us

My name is Steve Behrens and I am a Regional Sales Manager for OSG Doors, a leading manufacturer of hollow metal doors, hollow metal frames and commercial door hardware. My territory is the states of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.

I have 23 years experience in the hollow metal and commercial door hardware industry...all right here in the Southeast as I have lived in Florida since 1980. The first 8 of those 23 years were in the shop as a welder/fabricator and later as the shop foreman. I then moved into sales followed by ownership.

After one year in sales, I bought out the other 2 owners and ran my own small distributor business for the next 10 years. I did most of the selling, take offs, estimating, and project management during this time but I also ran the shop and ordered all inventory along with doing all the invoicing and accounting at times so I know this business inside out...from the front office to the back of the shop.

I then went to work as an Operations Manager heading the commercial division for a large hollow metal door and hardware distributor in South Florida. This job also involved project management when time allowed.

In 2004 I decided to move from the hustle and bustle of South Florida. My daughter was born in 2003 and we wanted to raise her in a smaller town atmosphere. I had spent 24 years in South Florida so we decided on a change. We now live in Jensen Beach, Florida which is just north of the South Florida area (Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties).

Now I am in the manufacturing end of the industry with OSG representing a great product. I take care of problems immediately if they arise as I've been there and I know how quickly a small problem can turn into a big problem in this business. I also quote your take offs for you, check orders, get new and/or existing sales people familiar with the OSG product and catalogs, and anything else you need me for. I'm always available to answer any questions and help in any way.
