Hollow Metal Doors
Our hollow metal door products include 20, 18, 16, and 14 gauge flush doors with a honeycomb,
polystyrene or polyurethane core. Embossed 6 or 8 panel hollow metal doors are available in 20, 18, and 16 gauge with
a polystyrene core. Also offered are steel stiffened doors
in 18, 16, and 14 gauge. We also have temperature rise doors available in 18, 16, and 14 gauge
with a mineral fiber core.
We have doors
prepped for hinges and locks or complete blank doors with no hardware preps so we can custom
make doors to the necessary hardware locations. We can also do any modification work or
repairs to an existing door that you might have. Our shop is well equipped to handle any type of job.
We also have a full stock of vision lite kits, 1/4" wire glass, 1/4" clear tempered glass, and
louvers that we will install in the door.
We keep the honeycomb and polystyrene core doors in stock but can also bring in the
polyurethane, mineral core, and the vertical steel stiffened core. Our 6 and 8 panel doors are available only in
galvannealed steel, all other doors are available cold rolled (non-galv) or
galvannealed.
Honeycomb Core |
DESIGNED FOR STANDARD
AND HEAVY DUTY UTILIZATION Honeycomb enhances the structural
integrity of the door while significantly reducing the weight. The core is laminated to both face sheets with contact
adhesive. The continuous bonding of core to metal provides a flat door, free of face welding marks. |
 |
| Polystyrene Polyurethane |
DESIGNED FOR INTERIOR USE & EXTERIOR
USE WITH HIGH THERMAL QUALITIES Assembled
with solid slabs of polystyrene or polyurethane bonded permanently to the inside of the
skin. This type offers security and flexibility in the most adverse conditions. Polystyrene is used on exterior
applications in extreme weather conditions while polyurethane is used in artic weather conditions. |
 |
Combined Core |
USED IN SOME 6 AND 8 PANEL DOORS
This consists of a polystyrene core with honeycomb around the perimeter. As with the full honeycomb
door, the continuous bonding of core to metal provides a flat door, free of face welding marks.

Steel Stiffened |
EXTRA HEAVY DUTY DOOR
RECOMMENDED FOR VERY HIGH FREQUENCY UTILIZATION Constructed with heavy gauge vertical steel stiffeners at 4" on center vertically and 6"
on center horizontally.
The areas between the stiffeners are filled with fiberglass. Gloss paint should be avoided on these doors as the
welds used to hold the stiffeners in place will show when high gloss paint is used. |

Temperature Rise |
DESIGNED FOR
FOR USE IN STAIRWELLS
This consists of a special core designed so the temperature on the non-fire side
of a door will not exceed either 250 or 450 degress during the first 30 minutes of a fire. This was brought about due
to the fact that people would run down the stairs to evacuate the building during a fire and some would get pushed
against a door on the way down the stairs causing them to get burned when contacting the door. |
